What do the Olympics 2012, the College of Law, BP, the National Childbirth Trust and various financial services companies all have in common? It’s me!
I’ve worked on publications – print and online – for all of the above. Using writing and design skills honed while working as a newspaper journalist, and then in corporate publishing, I helped get their message over to target audiences.
Other clients have included BT, British Aerospace, Sky, Hewlett Packard, Network Rail, Regus, Age UK, Colchester Borough Council, Royal Jordanian Airlines and many SMEs.
A skilled writer, sub-editor/proof-reader and project manager, I have another significant string to my bow – a real flair for print design (eg, I currently lay out a 92-page quarterly magazine for the National Childbirth Trust) and experience in website design too.
And with many of the projects I’m engaged in I work in strategic alliances with other talented people from the world of publishing: other writers, graphic designers, website developers, printers and so on. So, if a client brings me in there’s also the potential – through me and contacts I’ve made over 25 years – to open a doorway to the wider publishing industry, with me as their guide.
